Crew : Helen and Andy
Destinations : Honfeur.
Distance : 56 miles

Friday 20 th June

An 0545 start to continue down the coast, initially motor sailing in light winds. By 9am the wind had filled in and we broad reached along the coast under full sail, keeping a lookout for fishing buoy markers.

Helen was having a boat hair day:

We were making good time so we continued past Le Havre and into the Seine taking the last of the flood up to Honfeur, locking in to the basin and temporarily tying up to wait for the 1730 bridge opening into the old port.

When the bridge opened we entered along with a local boat and found that there was space on the visitor's pontoon behind one other boat, so we tied up and stepped ashore into a pavement cafe for an afternoon beer.

We decided to have dinner at the cafe, watching boats arriving on successive bridge openings and gradually building a raft out from Speedwell.

Saturday 21 st and Sunday 22 nd JuneA couple of days ashore exploring the town.
