As we didn't feel we could leave the boat safely anchored we decided to move elsewhere, rather than explore Raasay. The weather looked fine for a passage to Harris/Lewis in the next few days, but as we had slept in late we didn't have time today. Instead we decided to go to Loch Torridon, somewhere we had both been before by road. Andy eventually managed to clear the kelp from the anchor and foredeck and we headed round the top of Raasay and across to Loch Torridon. We found an anchorage on the west side of Loch Shieldaig which felt secure and had lots of swinging room. So we were able to sleep well and be ready for an early start.
