Crew : Andy and Helen
Destinations : Holyhead.
Distance : 67 miles

Tuesday 24 th July

After removing the Strangford Lough jelly fish from the engine's raw water filter we were on our way across the Irish Sea. It was foggy and wet with very little wind. The light house on the North side of Dublin Bay was in fog.

There was very little shipping once we had left Dublin and we arrived in Holyhead under engine around 2000, having had a bit of tide against us at the end. We knew we were in the right place as two Dublin ferry's had passed us. Holyhead has a massive breakwater so once in the harbour it took half an hour to get to the marina where we found a lovely quiet berth alongside.

Wednesday 25th July We spent the day in Holyhead stocking up on groceries in preparation for an 0300 start the following morning. We also experimented with our new found skill and cooked mussels for tea. They were delicious!
